While this quote from Bible is about congential blindness, apply it to a multitude of problems that you face…illness, poverty, prejudice, and you will see how it applies there as well and realize how much you have to pray for guidance and follow through to overcome those problems.
“Rabbi,” his disciples asked him, “why was this man born blind?
Was it because of his own sins or his parents’ sins?”
“It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,” Jesus answered.
“This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.”
Right now I personally am going through a bunch of the above, my neuropathy complicates my restless legs, my torn rotator cuff is hampered by what they think is an angina problem, my periodinitis is hampered by lack of money and prejudice within my own family because they did not like my father and so for me, the sins of my father have weighed upon me. They of course are a story unto themselves but I pray and realize that that is their problem, not mine and so ignore them. As for the money issue, I’ve gone to eBay listing things I have hoping to make money from them. I pray for customers, pray for help in my listings and then I pray some more.
So remember when the time are tough, it’s time to pray for the “power of God” to help you along.
