Selina O’Grady of the BBC has written a book “And man Created God”. Basically it is about the historical Jesus and how that lowly Jewish prophet became a god. You can tell by those few sentences that of course it a secular (i.e. atheistic) view of Jesus but having known a few of them thanks to growing up in NYC, I can tell you that it is also a popular Orthodox Jewish view: a good Jewish scholar his adherents made into a cult or should I say that Paul that Jewish zealot made his rabbi into god. I do think that the reviewer points out an important flaw in the last sentence of his review: and how did that crazy Paul manage to pull it off? As the Greeks says, “That is the mystery”.
