The Mansion on the Hill…John

Let not your heart be troubled, agitated or distressed,  for as you believe in God, believe also in me.  In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would not said it.

— John xiii.1

Interestingly, in astrology the twelve houses are also called mansions historically but in the Bible where it all began, mansion is house (BET) and the first time it appears is first for Noah and his ark (which is called a house), and throughout Genesis but it shows up most notably during Exodus when God makes a house for those who are in fear of the Pharaoh so they may hide in safety. (Exodus 1:21),

There is an old saying, I do not remember by whom by I think Sokrates, that first a man must get work (aleph ox) before he can have a house. (bet).  In the Bible, after Adam leaves Eden, first they must till the land to make food and so harness their aleph.  In the end, Jesus is dragged like an ox through the streets to Golgotha where he goes to his final house, a cross, which is pitched under the tent of the sky.
