Fausett & Jamieson, 19th century commentators, remark that this shows that Job is beloved enough to have a “revelation” of the future, when Christ the Redeemer comes to save mankind and while he is suffering right now, he knows in the future, all his troubles are naught because they are brought upon him temporarily (hearken back to that that flower in the meadow metaphor) . Long term though, i.e. timeless eternity, Joel and now us, has received a clear & very definite sign of God’s assurance & love.
