Inspiration: Trust

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6, In all thy ways acknowledge him, and HE shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs iii:5-6

The confidence in God must be complete both in degree and in extent i.e. “with all thy heart,” and “in all thy ways.” This anticipates, the doctrine of faith. In Latin, this is known as Fides est fiducia or Faith is our bond. It comes into civil law, and banking, as part of contract law where we sell a thing to some one, we are transmitting to him the whole of the thing — we leave nothing back.  This is the idea in trusts, (last will &) testaments, checks  and of course pledges.

BTW, I worked for Fiduciary Trust Co. in the World Trade Center.  It was on the 97th floor.
