diChirico Stained Glass ala 1150



I found it hard to believe that this was not a modern window done by one of the many Italian deconstructivists of the 20th Century.  But it’s not.  Instead with it’s very contemporary styling, patchwork motifs, this windows was made for the

Cattedrale Di Santa Maria La Nuova in Monreale, Sicily, Italy around the 12th Century.

​ 

 Sicily has never been more courant.
